Author Guidelines

Manuscripts
Manuscripts should be original research papers that provide a novel contribution to Public Administration and Public Policy. Authors are requested to submit their papers electronically using the online submission procedure of Jurnal Administratio Publica: Kajian Ilmu Administrasi Publik . The corresponding author must also provide a statement that the manuscript is not being considered for publication elsewhere. The editor will ignore submissions that do not follow this procedure.
Manuscript structure
1. Title. The title should be clear and informative and should not exceed 20 words.
2. Author's name and institution. The author's name should be accompanied by the author's institution and email address, without academic title (title). For joint papers, one of the authors must be notified of the corresponding author.
3. Abstract, keywords. The abstract should be less than 200 words. Please provide the abstract in both English and Indonesian. Keywords should consist of 3 to 5 words or phrases.
4. Introduction. This section explains the background of the study, reviews previous research in the field, and the purpose of the manuscript. Most importantly, this section should also indicate the significance and novelty of the research.
5. Methods. This section describes the appropriate analytical tools along with the data and sources.
6. Results and Discussion. This section describes the results of the study. The results of the study should be presented clearly and concisely. Authors should explore the novelty or contribution of the work to the educational literature.
7. Conclusion. This section concludes and provides policy implications, if any, of the study. The conclusions should be in the same order as those discussed in the body of the manuscript.
8. References. This section only lists papers, books, or other types of publications that are referred to in the body of the manuscript.
General Writing Format
1. The manuscript is prepared in A4 paper format, single-sided, and single-line spacing. New paragraphs should start with 5 characters from the left margin, using Times-New-Roman font size 12.
2. The manuscript is written in Indonesian or English.
3. The manuscript should be 10 to 15 pages long (6000-7000 words).
4. The top and bottom margins are 3 cm.
5. The title is written using capital letters only on the first word or special name (example: location name), font size 14, center position.
6. The subtitle is written in UPPERCASE BOLD style, font size 12, starting from the left margin.
7. The subtitle, if any, is written using capital letters only on the first word or special name. The subtitle must start from the left margin.
8. The sub of the subtitle, if any, is written with capital letters only at the beginning of each word except conjunctions, all written in italics. The writing starts from the left margin.
9. References must be publications from the last ten years (>80%), except for the main reference (80%). References to any textbooks should be minimized (<20%).
Special Writing Format
1. Equations and formulas must be numbered as (1), (2)...etc. which appear to the right.
2. Estimation results from software packages should not be presented directly in the paper. Estimation results must be presented in the form of a summary table.
Tables and Figures
Tables and figures should be presented as follows:
1. The names of tables and figures should follow the numbering system (Arabic numbering system). The titles of tables and figures are placed at the top and bottom respectively.
2. Tables and figures should include the source of information, if any, at the bottom.
3. Each table should only contain the title and contents. Tables should only contain rows without columns. Notes and sources should be included below the table if necessary.
Acknowledgement
Acknowledgements, if any, should be written as footnotes to the title of the manuscript.
Subject and Author Index
Authors should include a subject index, which is the special terms in the manuscript. Authors should also include an author index, which is the main author of the papers referred to in the manuscript. Please write the surname followed by the given name.
References
This manuscript is expected to contain around 20-25 primary and recent references to confirm high-quality contributions to the development of knowledge. Citations and references must strictly follow the APA (American Psychological Association) style. References should include only works cited in the text of the manuscript. Please use a reference tool (Mendeley, Zotero, etc.)
